A meat technology course at Smithfield College and hands on experience as a private butcher and within the Tesco Group paved the way into the commercial world. Colin has a strong track record, his intuitive, friendly and approachable style, coupled with his extensive knowledge and experience in the seasonings, coating and functional ingredients arena.
His favourite ingredient is…anything hot, authentic and spicy!
When Colin isn’t visiting customers, he enjoys travelling, playing golf, drinking a glass or two of Malbec, watching his daughter ballet dance and play tag rugby!
Steve has a wealth of experience and has worked in the food manufacturing sector for many years. He’s a hands on, customer centric operations director with a site operations background developed in the food, ingredients, and FMCG sectors over the past 26 years.
His favourite ingredient is… ginger! Whether that’s paired with soy sauce and garlic in one of our many sauces or marinades or in the form of an occasional all butter stem ginger biscuit!
When Steve isn’t making sure that everything runs smoothly on site, he enjoys travelling and exploring new places, mountain biking and going to the gym, but his passion is motorcycles.
David has a BSc in Food Science and has worked within the food industry for over 33 years. He offers customers a huge depth of understanding and experience in many sectors including: frozen, chilled, flavour and ingredients including gluten free bakery.
His favourite ingredient is… maple syrup in a sticky maple drizzle. And cheese!
When David isn’t assisting customers with their processing challenges, he enjoys listening and playing music.
“I regularly play guitar in a Blues Rock band called Bladerunner on the East coast – Scarborough, Whitby and Bridlington.
Mike has a Diploma of the Institute of Purchasing and Supply Chain and a HNC in Business Studies. He has enjoyed four decades of purchasing within various sectors of the food industry.
His favourite ingredients are Chilli and Cumin in his wife’s home made red onion and parsnip bhajis!

Sales Development Manager
Judith is a committed and passionate foodie. Her career began over thirty years ago in food technology and new product development after completing a B.Sc in Home Economics. Over the years, operating across various sectors of the food industry, she has enjoyed working with many high profile food manufacturing businesses, culminating in several senior commercial roles.
Her favourite ingredient is… Natural Umami! Only recently has umami been recognised as the ‘fifth taste.’ Judith refers to this clever blend of natural ingredients with flavour enhancing properties as “The perfect salt replacer which adds great flavour without the need for salt!”
Judith enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, exploring great places to eat and drinking good wine!
Since graduating with a bachelors degree in Chemistry, Frank has enjoyed working within the food industry for over twenty five years, principally within the ingredients sector. He sees his current role as a trusted technical advisor, consequently building strong and collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues alike. He and his team are dedicated to ensuring that the site operates in line with industry leading standards and delivers a consistent and proactive approach to food safety, integrity and product quality. Frank offers our customers a huge depth of understanding and experience across many fields including; Food Legislation, HACCP, Food Hygiene and Safety, BRC Standards and sector specific certification schemes such as Halal & Kosher.
His favourite ingredient is… firecracker sauce! “It complements anything and everything from pork to poultry to vegetables and works especially well as a dip!”
When Frank isn’t assisting customers with their technical requirements and challenges, he enjoys playing football, playing guitar, cycling, running and hill walking.
Customer Service Administrator
A relatively new member to our team, we would describe Chloe as a definite ‘people person.’ Since leaving school, she combines a part time Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship at Teeside University Business School with her role within our busy customer service department.
Her favourite ingredient, which was introduced to her during her interview, is Lemon Peri Peri. Whether that’s smothered on chicken or vegetables, in her opinion, it’s always best cooked outdoors on the barbecue!
Chloe’s down time is spent socialising, travelling especially city breaks, walking her Finnish Tamaskan, Odin, taking inspiration from social media in the ongoing renovation of her home and then blogging about her achievements!
Tony is one of our longest serving employees and has worked within several departments in our organisation. His operational expertise, product knowledge, ability to multi task and excellent organisational skills are put to good use in his current role. During his career at Moguntia, Tony has successfully completed several formal qualifications, culminating in a part time degree in Business and Management from Sunderland University.
His favourite ingredient is bang on trend and is used in lots of our recipes… Crushed chilli. Whether that’s in a chipotle sauce or sprinkled on to a curry to give it an extra kick!
Outside of work, Tony’s interests include; running. keeping fit and attending prestige horse racing events.
